Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, believes that Kamala Harris’s position on cryptocurrency could jeopardize her chances of winning the U.S. presidential election if she fails to appeal to pro-crypto voters.

Scaramucci said, “Let’s say there are only 25 million people that own crypto in the United States. But let’s say 5% of them are single-issue voters […] If they’re in the swing states of the United States, she will lose the election.”

Scaramucci, who previously served as White House Communications Director under Donald Trump, admitted that the Democratic Party’s approach to the crypto industry has been problematic, calling it a “disaster.” Despite this, he cautioned that while much of the crypto community has rallied behind Trump due to his pro-crypto rhetoric, Trump may not be a reliable ally for the industry.

“He’s the most transactional son of a bitch that you’ll ever meet. Today he’s for crypto; tomorrow, he may or may not be for crypto,” Scaramucci remarked.

Scaramucci also warned that Trump’s ultimate goal could be to establish an “oligarchic situation” that might undermine the U.S. capital markets and weaken the country’s global influence. However, he acknowledged that Trump remains the most appealing candidate for single-issue pro-crypto voters at this time.
