BlackRock Launches IBIT ETF Options

That didn’t take long. Now that Gary Gensler is effectively out of the way, you’re going to start to see a lot more trading tech applied to the crypto space.

BlackRock was the first ETF to launch their options series on their Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) today, and there is already massive interest on these options.

What’s the big deal, you might ask? Why invest your time learning about options? I had this same opinion twenty years ago, I would mentally blank out when trading nerds would go on and on about options. But eventually I was converted and haven’t looked back since.

I’d say that the biggest feature with options is that you can create INCOME.

You can “sell to open” an option position which immediately puts CASH into your account. You’re essentially running your trading business like an insurance company…taking risk out of the market and being paid for it. Just don’t pay out any big claims and you can run it forever, like me.

You can also make money irrespective of whether the market is going up, down, or sideways. Trading options is how I went “solo” twenty years ago, and I can’t wait to show you how you can do the same with crypto assets this time.
